MINISTRY OF JUSTICE AND PUBLIC ORDER REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS

The "Certification No" field is printed on the Apostille stamp affixed on the document at point "8. No" and is separated into four parts as showed in the picture bellow:

1. The District Code indicated by the red lines
2. The Location Code indicated by the blue lines
3. A Number indicated by the green lines
4. The Year indicated by the yellow lines

The "Random Number" field is printed also on the Apostille stamp affixed on the document at point "10. Signature:" under the Permanent Secretary's signature and is indicated by the black lines on the image bellow.

1. Take a complete set of the document with the Apostille stamp affixed on the document in order to compare it with the Apostille details on the website.
2. Check that the type of the document is the same as the type displayed on the website.
3. Check that the issue date of the public document is the same as the issue date displayed on the website. Note that the issue date for private documents is the date that the document is signed by the District Officer.
4. Check that the name of the public officer who signedthe document is the same as the name printed on the Apostille stamp at point "2. has been signed by".
5. Check that the name of the Authority, which issued the document is same as the authority printed on the Apostille stamp at point "4. bears the seal/stamp of".
6. Check that the created date of the Apostille displayed on the website is the same as the date printed on the Apostille stamp at point "6. the".
7. Check that the name of the certified officer, who has signed the Apostille stamp is the same as the name printed on the Apostille stamp at point "7. by".
8. Check that the location, where the Apostille has been createdis the same as the name printed on the Apostille stamp at point "5. at".
9. Check that "the Apostille number"displayed on the website is the same as the number printed on the Apostille stamp at point "8. No".
10. In case that all the above have been checked and corelated with each other, then the Apostille stamp's authenticity is confirmed.
